Five Kings
August 1st, 2026 was the first ever public screening of the "Five Kings" project, with this "proof of concept" / short film clocking in at over 20 minutes. Snaps here of the screening held at the Malay Heritage Center auditorium, which was followed by a Q&A/Fireside discussion with the filmmakers, cast and invited artists, moderated by Juan Foo.

Written and directed by Djinn, and produced by Shariza Kamil of MUSE Productions, with virtual production by Oceanus Media Global, "Five Kings" proceeded as a VP/Virtual Projection-focused project, funded by IMDA.
Since the screening and taking feedback into considerations, the Malay-language short film is currently undergoing tweaks for subsequent presentations and screenings.
Essentially a period piece based off lore, colored by history and fantasy, the story for the short film takes place over a single night, from sunset til the dawn of the next day.
In the coming blog-features, I will unashamedly showcase my involvement and work done for this project, for which I had been credited with "Production Design".
My involvement was heavily during pre-production, but I was not physically present in studio for the set-up and shoot days.
