Model of Set Design for TV (1990s)

For literal years I had been searching for this photo, to be able to show my (ex)students the usage of a scaled model, in the presentation of ideas, besides elevational drawings/illustrations.

This unpainted model was extrapolated from my own studio layout plan, height of model to-scale.

What is not shown here, are the "human" cut-outs, to show sense of scale and geography, in relation to the performers/talents - which in this case, was for this music-based program (I know what this was for, just that we ended up not going this "extravagant" design-route, alas), which was a celebratory single-broadcast-only event.

This more likely is dated mid-to-late 1990s, eventually held in the TV Theatre, in The Television Corporation of Singapore, in Caldecott Hill.

As much as folks are pre-occupied with "colour", there's something to be said for a sense of scale and geography, at the very least in communicating a set design across, IMHO.

Cheers
