SUZIE-Q (Production Design for 2004's ROUGE)
SET: "Suzie-Q" Bar fo ROUGE (2004)
EPISODE SYNOPSIS: Pending.
"Retro-Kitschy-Glam", with tons of PINK, glitter, and loving heartsHeartsHEARTS, was "Suzie-Q" the establishment whre the girls of ROUGE went undercover(ish), in search of a perp. The place with populated with crew and staff, decked out in outrageous costumes and colored fur.
Bits and bobs were used to dress this spot, ultilizing up-cycled settings (example of bar counter covered with pink sequinned fabric), sofas and tables. Even the wall of LPs ("long playing vinyl records", if anyone is wondering) covers belonged to my brother (yes, returned in good condition). And the hanging mirror ball was a practical prop we had prior to the shoot too .. waste not, want not...
Dressed-up in the Loewen Road "studio backlot" location, I wish I had more images to share, as this was a fun low-bugdeted one-off set(ting) to be done. Moving video wouold be great too tho!
