Long-form Bio for Andy Heng (2007-2022 Version)
With over a decade's worth of local Media Industry experience, Andy Heng has accumulated a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from primarily Production Design and Art Direction for 6 Feature Films (both Local and International), to an extensive list of Television projects, both Long and Short Form and a wide variety of Set Designs for Broadcast Variety/Music-orientated Shows. Adding to the mix is a small but enriching collection of TVCs and Corporate Videos.
As such, Andy is very conversant in and understand the working intricacies and practicalities of the media industry in Singapore; in terms of production design and art direction, set design, art support, budget-management, fabrication and props sourcing. With the right team and support, anything is possible.
In addition to Service Support, Andy has had the opportunity to delve into Content Creation with Directing a varied range of infotainment / magazine-styled Short-Form Television-programs, as well as involvement in the creation and conceptualization of Broadcast Television Shows, all of which have provided him with both experience and insights, to further understand as well as be able to provide support for program requirements.
Currently owner and author of an award winning blogsite, Andy has as well lectured (part-time) at a local arts college, and most recently a technical college.
COMMENTARY: The bulk of the above bio was written in 2007 (and posted as-is here today), with (URL)links to online portfolio and emails that are no longer active, which in 20/20 hindsight, is fascinating to me.
The last paragraph was added today for this post.
The next step is to reformat into a compressed 45-word bio for use. Wish me luck!
